The first stage of grief, Denial helps us minimize the overwhelming pain of loss.
Our reality shifts we were experience a dramatic loss. It can take our mind some time to adjust to the new realities we are now having to live in. This is also a time when we reflect on our lives and realize the life we knew may be gone forever. This images reflects that loss the deep desire to turn away from this new reality, not wanting to give up on the life we loved.
